I just got two free ferrets

I got two ferrets Bandit and Smokey this weekend (my first ferrets) – the guy was giving them away if they were kept together (because of having to downsize.) The guy says they’re about three years old, but my mom thinks they’re older. Is there a way to tell?

I have so many questions, like what “people” foods they can eat and is it normal for them to drink water all the time?

Bandit has reddish eyes almost like an albino but has yellowish and grey fur. Are there any health issues that I would have to watch for that occur with albinos?

Ferrets should not have ceder wood anything! It will give them respiratory problems. Do not give them baths more then twice a week. Be careful with them. Give them plenty of attention.(They love attention from their owners!) Don’t let them around babies unsupervised. (If a baby cries the ferret is most likely to nip or bite it!)

TOTAL FERRET FOOD IS THE BEST FOOD OUT THERE FOR THEM. THEIR EARS NEED TO BE CLEAN AND NAILS NEED TO BE CUT. THEY SHOULD TAKE A BATH EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS. MY 2 FERRETS HAVE CORN COB BEDDING IN THEIR CAGE WHICH IS REAL BIG. THEY HATE WOOD CHIPS. THEY NEED TO SEE A VET ONCE A YEAR FOR SHOTS.
