Wire chewing

by Andrew Brazzale
(Vancouver, BC, Canada)

My baby ferret Fae can't get enough of the electrical wires. Our other ferret Fiefer has no interest in the wires so I am left to assume it is because she is teething.

Ive bought a couple rubber toys of which she is crazy over, she gnaws on them during the day and night.

However, I still catch her chewing at the wires. I scruff her, tell her NO semi-loudly, and present her the toy she is allowed to gnaw on.

I hope this is the right method for training. If anyone could help me out it would greatly be appreciated.
