Where's Weezer???

My daughter went to spend the night with her friend and left us in charge of her ferret. We let it out of its cage and forgot about her. Around bedtime we all started to looking in her usual places and couldn't find her. We figured she was asleep and went to bed ourselves. We still couldn't hear or find her the next morning and I was getting nervous.

Around 10:30a.m. we heard a scratching on the screen door and opened it to find our daughter's ferret outside!!! It had rained badly overnight and she was muddy and shaken but thankfully unharmed. We live in the country and I shudder to think of all the things that could have happened.

She will never be left unsupervised again. We still don't know how she got outside.
