I have two adorable 2 year old female ferrets. Raised them since babies. Very fun pets to watch and I look forward to seeing them every day. They make great apartment pets if you work long hours, as they love to sleep. They do need to get out daily to play. Cleaning their cage requires a lot of work. I need several litter boxes scattered throughout the house, requiring lots of clean up. They still have accidents often, and often poop next to the litter box instead of in it. They have destroyed two couches and are now working on their third. Duck tape helps sometimes. Oh yeh, got into a mattress as well. Tried everything to stop that habit, but it continues... I love peanuts and gypsy, but believe ferrets are just not meant to be domesticated. I've heard of some ferrets being affectionate, but mine are not. They are now a part of my family, so I will take care of them and love them forever. I just may spend a fortune in furniture...
