Ferret Vets in Connecticut

(Ferret Vets in Connecticut – I’m always happy to add sites which have been recommended by other ferret owners so if you have a good ferret vet who is not listed here, please let me know and I’ll put the details on this page … I reckon it’s great to have a list of vets we know are good so that if our ferrets ever get sick, we’ll feel comfortable in the knowledge that our pets will get the best treatment possible from a vet who knows what he’s doing!)

However I have no firsthand knowledge of how experienced any of the vets are with ferrets.
It is up to you to make sure that you are happy with the treatment your ferret is getting from your vet. If you have any doubts at all, please think about getting a second opinion so that you know that your pet is getting the best possible treatment available.

  1. Hi, Dr Brzoska in Stamford is not very ferret knowledgeable and I would suggest taking him of this list. I just brought my ferret to see him after finding him on here and he didn’t even know what a Suprelorin/Deslorin implant was! Now I have to bring my ferret to my old vet who is 2 hours away but well worth it. Dr. Kolins at Mineola animal hospital in Mineola NY is a great competent ferret knowledgable vet if you want to add him. Thanks!

  2. Thank you so much for the heads up, Ivanna!
I’ve removed the link to Dr Brzoska and have added Dr Kolins/Mineola Animal Hospital to my NY page 🙂
I hope your ferret is okay but I’m sure you feel more reassured having seen a vet you trust.
Again, many thanks for taking the time to give me this information. Much appreciated!
    Cheers
    ~Nona
