I feel that way when the flowers bloom on the various plants I've planted for my kids which are waiting at the Bridge. Each flower is like a smile and I feel that they're still close to me.
I sometimes wonder why I keep getting more ferrets when my babies leave because the pain of losing them never gets easier. However I know that the love and happiness they bring me when they're with me completely outweighs the terrible pain when they leave me. When that ratio changes, I won't be getting any more ferrets but I feel that won't happen for a long, long time :)

Beautiful signs... by: Critter's Mom
Critter,
I have been tending to your garden we scattered your ashes in. We put a little bird's nest with this little pine sprig that had been left on it, all perfectly intact by your memorial stone. Yesterday I checked only to find a beautiful blue dragonfly, still alive, had landed on the little nest.
Today, the dragonfly is still there. Although the Edelweiss flower I planted for you has not come up, a new life was represented there via the dragonfly.
I miss you so much little boy. And please take care of Karma up there. I miss her too, she had been taken too soon from us.
Thank you for the dragonfly, I know it was a sign from you.
I love you Critter! Your Mom

Critter by: JLC
My heart goes out to you. I'm sure Critter is very happy with his sister Karma & Karma with Critter. Some times it just doesn't seem fair they have to leave us so soon. They are not hurting any more & I do belive that they love us as much as we loved them while they were with us. They will be waiting for us when the time comes, & we all can smile & hug each other again.

Please watch over Karma by: Critter's mom
Critter,
Well it's been 7 months since you left us. We miss you terribly. We picked up a little girl 4 months after you left us. Her name was Karma. She was wonderful, spritely and somehow I knew you would like her and it would make me happy. It did!
But on New Year's Day, Karma had to leave this world. She had become sick with cancer very quickly. She did not suffer. Please take care of her while she is up there with you.
We love you both Critter and Karma! Love, Your Mom & Daddy

Your garden.... by: Critter's Mom
We sprinkled our sweet boy Critter's ashes yesterday. The 4th of July was his 'day' to come out, walk (or carry) him in the parade in front of our house and meet the neighborhood at the park. It was appropriate to place his ashes in the garden where he always played and is in his picture. We also planted a flower 'edelweiss'. It's furry and pretty in it's own way, like Critter. And the song 'Edelweiss' just happens to be fitting for Critter:
Edelweiss, Edelweiss Every morning you greet me Small and white clean and bright You look happy to meet me Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow Bloom and grow forever Edelweiss,Edelweiss Bless my homeland forever.
Miss you Critter! Mom and Dad's hearts ache so badly for you.

Critter by: JC
Sooo Sorry to hear of your loss. 7 years is good, & from what I have read here, Critter had a good home & was loved.
Yes !! our hearts do break when they cross over but their new life begins. No pain & they are whole & happy playing with others that passed over the Bridge before them.
He'll be there waiting to welcome you.

Critter was a lovely looking boy and I know that he would have been much loved and had a wonderful life with you and your family.
He'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge and looking for more slippers to hide from you :)

Hugs for you by: Anonymous
I too know the pain of losing a fuzzy to disease. It just sometimes never ends. Take heed in the fact he was loved by you and he loved you back. How richer our lives are for this.
