Caspar's story

by Andrea
(Yanchep)

My 7 year old albino male called Caspar developed lymphoma last year.

The vet said there was nothing to be done as the cancer was in a very difficult place so they couldn't operate and he thought Caspar wouldn't last long.

I had just read about seaweed extract being good for slowing down the growth of tumours so I went to the health food shop and bought a bottle.

I got a syringe and fed it to Caspar morning and night and he was alert and happy for a month. But then suddenly he went downhill so I thought it best to take him to the vet to be euthanised.

I don't honestly know if the seaweed worked but the vet said it wouldn't hurt Caspar so to give it a go.

I'd like to think I helped him have a few more weeks of quality life until it all got too much for him.
