Obviously you were meant to be the one to be the loving human to be there for Baby and make the final days ok.
I just found out my ferret PJ has the same thing. He is doing better on meds, but it's only a matter of time I am told. It's been heartbreaking because he was a rescue that I saved from terrible neglect and nursed him back to health only to find this out a year later. But we have both had a really fun year.
It's comforting to read your similar story being someone facing the same thing. Thanks for posting.

Sorry to hear about Baby by: Anonymous
I lost my guy a couple of years ago to insulinoma and I still feel lousy about having to help him cross to the bridge.
However I found I couldn't live without a ferret friend so got another one to keep me company. She's nothing like Joe, my first one, but has her own personality and is as funny in her own way as he was.
You might find that having another ferret will help fill the hole which Baby's loss has caused. Another one won't replace Baby but I'm sure will help to keep a smile on your face and not let you feel sad.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Baby was a lucky little guy to have such a loving family. They do have a way of stealing your heart.
He's well & happy now & he knows you did all you could for him. He's playing with all his brothers & sisters now.
